Hi! I’m Hemish Shah, a high school junior with an interest in business administration and finance. I’m excited to inspire the next generation of coders to develop their computer programming skills and guide them on the path to becoming full-fledged Byte Knights!
Byte Knights is a coding tutoring service that teaches kids programming concepts through engaging, project-based lessons in a fun, medieval-themed learning environment. Our goal is to help young learners become skilled coders, or "Byte Knights."
Our Head Knights are specialized in Python.
Our tutors received a perfect score on the College Board AP Computer Science A Exam, are ranked academically in the top 3% of their high school class, scored 1500+ on the SAT, and have collectively taught 50+ students.
No prior coding experience is required! Byte Knights is designed for both beginners and those with some foundational knowledge who want to enhance their skills.
Our lessons are module-based, with each module representing a specific coding concept that students must "overcome" to advance through the ranks of the Byte Knights. These lessons are project-based and designed to teach both fundamental coding concepts and develop problem-solving skills.
Each session begins with 10-15 minutes dedicated to reviewing the previous week's topic. This is followed by a 15-20 minute quiz to assess understanding. Afterward, another 20-25 minutes are spent teaching the current lesson topic, and the remaining 30-45 minutes are focused on hands-on work, allowing students to apply the concepts they've learned.
